We are very happy with the result as the flexible material moves with wind and with a storm it really becomes alive and kicking. The project is the result of a remarkable and close collaboration between client and designers, a collaboration that made the best use of the somewhat unconventional opportunities.

Rob Veening did all the finishing’s himself including all the plaster work and floor coating and in a close collaboration with Peter on the design.

A minor but important detail is the border fence. If cut at the right season, planted willow braches will grow next spring and create a living fence adding to the quality of the garden and natural environment and cost less than the cheapest hard ware store alternative.

Architects rarely build themselves. But our office is situated in a multidisciplinary creative industry complex www.b29studios.nl where in other design fields its more than normal to build yourself. This inspired us to help Rob Veening prepare his facade material in our studio. Luckily our office is on the ground level as the rolls where 5 m long and weighed up to 250kg!
